I wanted a dog my whole life, but had to wait until I was a home-owning adult to get one. I was introduced to nosework when Argo was a young dog, after some early struggles – I thought nosework would be a “boring” dog sport, but I hoped it would help us build confidence and connection. After we got started, I quickly changed my mind and became a nosework addict!
Today, I love continuing to learn through in-person training opportunities, FDSA courses and collaboration with my peers.
We compete primarily in NACSW nosework, but dabble in C-WAGs scent, rally, and obedience when we can.

Argo is a standard poodle / American bulldog cross (yeah, I know) – which I believe makes him a “bullpoo.” Truly, he is a specimen of his breed 🙂
Argo has completed his NACSW ELT-CH journey, and now we are enjoying Elite Premier and Summit levels. I’m so grateful to play the game with my goodest, bestest boy each time we step to the line together.

Mesa is a 50/25/25 mix of German shorthair pointer, Weimaraner, and labrador. His talents include awoo-ing like a hound dog, and being the little spoon.
Mesa, the middle child, is helping me learn to handle a faster, drivier, more biddable sportscar-of-a-dog. He is burning through his points in Elite right now, and is also a blast to work with in the obedience / rally ring.
Gladsome Briar ORT
The youngest and cutest member of the family!
Briar is a field-bred (English) pointer that fit right into our pack and brings me joy every day. He has just recently passed his ORTs and we’re working hard building our foundations strong! I can’t wait to see this guy make his way through the levels, but good things come to those who wait… (and train).
